Treating Your Pet
...Initial Treatment
If your pet’s condition is critical, we take steps to stabilize the situation as quickly as possible. This might include administering medications, oxygen and fluid therapy.
Depending on the nature of your pet’s injury or illness treatments may range from simple bandaging to major surgery. Rest assured, PEC has the Emergency Clinicians, Specialists and technologies neccesary to provide the best care for your loved one. Relieving your pet’s pain and suffering is always our foremost concern.
...What Next?
If only the initial treatment is required, your pet is termed an “outpatient” and will be discharged as soon as the treatment is completed. If your pet requires more intensive treatment or longer-term observation, he or she will be admitted into the hospital.
In all cases, we explain every step of the process, so you can rest assured that everything that can be done for your pet is being done, and only with your approval. We will also consult with your family veterinarian
as necessary, partnering to provide the best patient care possible.
